But a lot of companies don’t openly advertise their senior discounts, so you have to know about them to get them. Here is our list of the best ‘secret’ discounts seniors can get if they ask for them:
  • Amazon Prime Membership: You can get up to 50% off of your Prime membership if you receive any kind government assistance, which many seniors do, including SSI and SNAP
  • CVS Extra Care: You can earn 2% back every time you use your ExtraCare card
  • Kohl’s on Wednesdays: Seniors who are 60+ can receive 15% off their purchase with a state-issued ID. Just ask at checkout!
  • Ross on Tuesdays: 10% off your purchase if you’re 55+. Just show your ID at checkout!
  • Michaels Crafts: 10% off your purchase with a government ID showing you’re 55+. Just create a Michaels Rewards account.
  • Bonefish Grill: 10% off food and non-alcoholic beverages with your AARP card
  • IHOP: Special 55+ discounted menu available
  • McDonalds: 55+ Get a discounted or free coffee (depending on locations) with ID
  • Outback Steakhouse: 10% off food and non-alcoholic beverages with AARP card
